Prater Café

2011

A temporary coffee house for the TENDENCE spring trade fair in Frankfurt.

Project: WALKING CHAIR Design
Disciplines: Scenograhy, Product design, Photography, Sound Design
Client: Messe Frankfurt, Germany

WALKING CHAIR Design — Fidel Peugeot and Karl Emilio Pircher are working together on a project.

The coffee house is inspired by Vienna’s Prater (Latin for ‘meadow’) and brings a Viennese atmosphere and innovative furniture to the trade fair city of Frankfurt.

The HTLT (High-Tec & Low-Tec) furniture is presented as a hybrid that combines the two approaches: the process of recycling and the high-tech coating process merge to create a high-quality piece of furniture.

Photographs from the Vienna amusement park (Wurstelprater) and an acoustic installation complement the space.
