Ministry of Upcycling

2021

A new instrument and counterpoint to the fashion industry: MINISTRY OF UPCYCLING develops, produces and distributes upcycling fashion.

Client: Ministry of Upcycling, Berlin
Disciplines: Interior design, product design, graphics

In spring 2021, MINISTRY OF UPCYCLING will launch its first upcycling collection made from discarded workwear in the form of printed upcycled sweatshirts. The shirts will feature large-scale designs and will be produced in Berlin in limited editions.

The collection's life cycle:
Re:Cycle — Re:Design — Re:Frame

1st phase of life — Re:Cycle:
The workwear (cotton) is worn in industrial and craft businesses in short cycles. Afterwards, the garments are discarded and disposed of.

2nd phase of life — Re:Design:
The discarded sweatshirts, which are in good condition, are cleaned, checked, sorted by size and colour, and reprinted. The illustrations were curated exclusively by FIDEL PEUGEOT.

3rd phase of life — Re:Frame:
Once the shirts are no longer worn, the prints can be framed.

We love the Langzeitprodukt
